Was it pressure of heavy academic syllabus?
Was it pressure of constant comparison?
Was it pressure of parent's expectations?
If yes ... Why was this PRESSURE?
Why we want to make children a MACHINE?
Why we want to analyse and compare their PERFORMANCES?
Why we want to impose our WANTS on them?
Why can't we let them FREE .......
FREE to shape up their life in their interest areas
FREE to accept their strengths and weaknesses and live happily with them
FREE to give them space to have all round development not just the brain
I think if we give this FREEDOM ......
We will be able to bring SMILE to many sulked faces
We will be able to create many LIVES if not MAESTROS
We will be able to STOP ... STOP STUDENT'S SUICIDE.
U have presented ur views in a very beautiful manner. yes Students Suicide is nowadays a biog issue faced by our society. In nowadays world when the competition has risen up in every field, students are made to work harder year by year. Its the age when a fraction of marks makes a hell lot of difference.
ReplyDeleteBut u have presented this issue from only one point of view. There r others reasons too. Many students give up their life after being humiliated in the name of ragging. And there r some cases where the young budding talents decide to take this step after their brief failed love affair. Their young minds are too immature to take this emotional shock.
i feel that to solve this issue, the students needs to be monitored and counseled most preferably b their parents or elder brother and sister. By proper counselling, i m hopeful that we can prepare them for the harsher world that they will be facing in few years.
I agree with you Jadubir but majorly student's suicide cases are due to our parent's expectations, stiff competition and our education structure. Of course with proper monitoring and counselling at right time can avoid such acts but for that parents have to build a trustwothy and friendly environment with their children so that they can share their problems openly with them.
