Naxalites -- Who are they? How are they made? What they look like? All these questions still remain unanswered... i'm still inquisitive. i got a glimpse of them in movie called Dil se by Mani Ratnam or Santosh Sivan's Terrorist.
I don't know whether my views are right or wrong but just want to pen down what i feel (do let me know your viewpoint). Any movement acc to me starts with a small issue but when it is ignored or surpressed for many years then it grows into a revolt. For eg -- Khalistan movement started with a liitle plea to make Punjabi recognised as language in Constitution, but then it was ignored..later demands increased and took shape of a separate entity. Similarly, Tamilians in Sri lanka also asked for recognition of Tamil language and separate state Ealam but again surpressed and ignored and a terror organisation LTTE is born, which in its revolt took several lives including our PM Rajiv Gandhi.
Same or similar maybe other movements in India like Ulfa or abroad like Palestinians. A simple question arise in my mind why are we so closed circuit? Why can't we recognise fellow people and their small demands in first place? Why are heart so small that it can't accomodate a little flexibility in outlook and views? And see the result --- states burning like Assam, Hyderabad, J&K, nations burning like Iran-Iraq, India- Pakistan, or regions burning like Middle east.
Also we talk of India as a nation, infact don't want to compromise with separate country demand of Kashmir, or infact still hope and dream of forming back the previous Indian subcontinent as one, but don't have same feelings and love for even all states leave neighbouring countries. My talks may sound absurd but honestly tell me Do we remember the names of all North- Eastern states and their capitals in same flow as other states? Why have we categorised them as 7 sister states when they all have their individual identity? Why do we not mingle with their students studying in different parts of the country or call them as Chinkies? Why do we consider all Kashmiri Muslims as Terrorists? So if there is difference in our outlook towards them then whats wrong if they want to have a separate identity for themselves? They also have the right to freedom like all human beings, to be known and recognised and not to be looked down upon. Ain't they also the creation of same God as we? So why a fight of supremacy when we all can live with each other happily accepting their traditions as theirs and ours as ours and enjoying both....Ain't Modern India a conglomeration of different cultures, ethnicities and religions....so why a fight for Marathi or Bihari identity. Think or a new movement may start to give birth to a new terror organisation.
